The foundation aims to acquire, cultivate, research and present the art of silver- and gold smithery. This also includes objects or knowledge related to silver or forging; specific tools, drawings, designs and documents for example. The Foundation also works on sector-related matters, as well as stimulating interest in and the creation of new precious-metal products. Finally, the museum is committed to safeguarding and stimulating the development of the silversmithing craft, thereby fulfilling an important social role.
Visitors, our friends, Donations, gifts, bequests, corporate sponsorships, and funds together make this possible. Every contribution is very much appreciated. There are multiple ways to contribute to our mission.
For more than 25 years, the Dutch Silver Museum has been able to count on the support of its Friends. As a Friend of the museum, you become part of a community of silver enthusiasts who hold the Silver Museum close to their hearts. You can become a Friend for just €25 per calendar year, or together with your partner for €45 per calendar year. As a Friend, you enjoy various benefits and receive invitations to special events and activities.
Donations can be made as a one-time gift or on a recurring basis, with the greatest tax benefit achieved through periodic contributions. Download the document provided by the Dutch government to do so.

For a one-off donation, no agreement is required. You can read more about this on the website of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration.
It is possible to include the Zilvermuseum in your will. You can, for example, leave (part of) your collection or assets to the museum. As a Cultural ANBI, we pay 0% inheritance tax, which means your assets will fully benefit the purposes you designate. We are happy to advise you on the available options.
A bequest is a clearly defined inheritance or sum of money to which you wish to give a special purpose. This could be the Dutch Silver Museum or, for example, someone who is not one of your heirs. Formally, a bequest is a right that you assign to someone in your will. You grant them (or a legal entity) the right to claim something from the heirs. This is, of course, recorded in a notarial deed.
The foundation Dutch Silver Museum is an institution with cultural ANBI-status, as appointed by the Dutch Tax Administration. This means your gift to the museum is tax deductable. (for more information, please visit the website of the Dutch Tax Administration: www.belastingdienst.nl). There are several options for making a donation while benefiting from tax advantages. No notarial deed is required for this, and your contribution will be used to its fullest effect.
